Been away from the shop for awhile been i’ve been tinkering here and there. I just finished a commission piece, the triforce from The Legend of Zelda. I decided to do the design from the Twilight Princess:

Here’s two Ange finished right around Christmas:

And back in February, i finally finished Gryffindor. It was sold at the CENTERSTAGE Radio Auction.

Hopefully lots to come! I’ve been spending more time in the shop. And after a brief visit to the March Horrorfind, i’m pumped up to get things going for the August show, where i’ll be setting up. I’ve got some awesome collaborations in the works, too!

Uh, holy crap. It’s finally Christmas, which means i can finally show you the stuff i’ve been working on all month.
Here’s my favorite – the Bride of Frankenstein. The clear is a really cool iridescent textured glass. I was going to use red in the background, but my wife nagged me until i reconsidered. I’m extremely happy with this. I want to make another once i’ve got a ring saw, because i didn’t get as much detail in the face as i wanted, but, you know, tough titty.

These two i finished a few weeks back. I’ve been trying to do a Creature design for quite some time, because he’s my favorite Universal Monster. Hard to render in glass. I found this awesome textured green that looks like scales that i just had to use. I finally worked it out:

Then here’s the Maltese Falcon. Yeah, i’ve never seen the movie, so i wondered how well it was going to turn out. I’m really happy with it, i think it looks like old WWII propoganda. I broke away slightly from my ’starburst’ background, which made my wife happy.

Then here’s another pair that i finished at the last minute. I love the glass i used in this one – the sorcerer’s hat from Fantasia.

And this was a nice easy one to do, but it has a nice look to it. The BMW logo. I had to handpaint the letters on there (they’re silver, it’s hard to tell in the pic).

That’s all for now! There’s two my wife did that i’ll post in another day or two. I’m laying off the glass for at least a few days!

Hardly a day has gone by that we haven’t been in the shop working on something! Between finishing our Christmas orders, and making gifts for people for ourselves, our fingertips have been cut and grinded to hamburger!
I still can’t really show you anything, but here’s a little 4″x4″ panel that i just finished. Though i can’t tell you what it’s for. I designed it using photoshop in a few minutes, using glass i had sitting around. I like it.

And thanks to the ever-helpful Bill George over at Red Hot Planet, here’s another shot of my glass with a pin-up girl. This is Kirstyn Indgjer. What’s hotter, her or my glass?

Lastly, here’s an animated banner for anyone who gives a shit enough to link to me. (Click this goofy black bar and it’ll take you there.)

It’s been a busy time at the EVILNICE camp (not that it’s an actual camp. If i was stuck in the woods with no place but some shrub to do my business, rest assured stained glass would be the last thing i’d be thinking of. i’d be all like ‘how about a nice roll of cottonelle’ and ‘while you’re at it, i’d like a turkey platter covered in gravy kthnx’). I’ve been working on “The Christmas Orders.” I can’t show them to you, naturally, but i do love to show off, so i’m posting cool strips of them, so you can’t actually see what’s going on!

In other news, my wife finished her first piece. It’s a cool lighthouse. Excellent use of glass and colors. This one wasn’t a custom piece, i suggested she pick something simple out of a book, but for her second piece, (a secret, due to the whole Christmas dealio) she had me design a horribly complicated piece. It’s turning out well!

And since i love posting pictures, even when stuff’s not done, this is how far i left Griffyndor, before i put it side for the holidays.

Here’s another installment of Evil Dread’s Horror Hotties, featuring Melinda, with my robot glass as a special guest!

October 22nd, 2007
Yeah! So after a brief hiatus i’m back in the shop and working! Here’s what’s new:
- I’ve started on my Christmas orders. I’ve got 6 badass designs to do. Unfortunately, i can’t show you any of them until after Christmas! How much that that blow?
- My good friend Bill George hooked me up with another model shoot. It’s another hot chick you’ll never get to make out with. How much does that blow?
- The super-hot Monique Dupree left me a comment. An amazingly hot chick that i’ll never get to make out with. How much does that blow?
- My wife just finished her first piece of glass. And, she’s good! Now we’re a fucking team! Although now i can’t hog all the credit. How much does that blow?
For those of you who love the glass (or the Harry Potter), here’s an update. This has been some hardcore serious grinding.

And for those of you who love the ladies, here’s another photoshoot courtesy of good friend Bill George. This is the lovely Melinda Jo Clevenger, and my robot (Melinda is the one with the boobs. Robot, sans boobs).

Remember that Patience Holmes pic i posted? She was just featured in EVIL DREAD’s latest installment of HORROR HOTTIES. And my glass is there, too! EVIL DREAD is an awesome site devoted to horror news that favors asian cinema, which i’m a huge fan of. And Patience is, you know, hot. Chikity-check it out!

Here’s another taste.

August 27th, 2007
So my good friend Rob wore one of my CYBORG SANDWICH shirts to PAX last weekend. Then i got a text message 1 in the morning saying he met Wil Wheaton, and he thought the shirt was hilarious! Totally awesome! This was a big deal since i was pretty bummed that i didn’t sell many (uh, 2) at Horrorfind. Wil Wheaton is a huge geek, and his blog is awesome, so you should, you know, read it. And now i’m totally stoked to start selling these online, although i’ve been having some issues setting up the shopping cart. Stupid 403 errors. I’m working on it though, so get off my back.
Here’s a quick glimpse of what i’m working on right now. Haven’t had too much time to get down in the shop, and most of it was setting up my new Ikea desk, and organizing things. But here’s Gryffindor, and some of the glass for it.

Bill George, who does freelance promotional work, recently purchased the Robot. I had the priviledge of seeing his house, and it looks fantastic, lined wall to wall in huge scifi pulp posters and great collectibles. The Robot fits in perfectly. He did a photoshoot with model Patience Holmes. Here’s a preview of one of the shots!

And lastly, if you care, i put some pictures of my workshop in the gallery.

So i’m honestly a little embarrassed by using an out of the box web solution (although Wordpress is sexy), and back in the day i would’ve made this site from scratch, but i honestly don’t have the time anymore, and any free time i do have i’d rather spend working on the glass… So get off my back, ok?
I had a rocking time at Horrorfind, and met a buttload of awesome people. I didn’t sell too much, but it was still a really positive experience. I did unload the Auryn and the Robot (both of which are in my gallery), and a couple of shirts. I’m surprised the Slytherin piece didn’t sell, everyone wanted the stupid Gryffindor. Whatever. Although Monique Dupree did walk by and shout out “Slytherin!” So that was pretty cool. Also, Michael Gross walked by my table, but he didn’t really stop to look at anything. But i can’t stay mad at him.
Back to glass! Right now, i’m working on an 8×10 suncatcher of C3P0 and R2D2 (the classic pose of them together on Tatooine) and, yes, Gryffindor. I’ve got all the Hogwarts’ houses patterened out, because i’m pimp like that. I’ll post in-progress pictures when i feel like it. After that i’m doing a bunch of Christmas present orders, and a 12 x 12 Dracula in the same style that i did Frankenstein. Because i’m hardcore.
I’m also about to launch the online shirt store. I’ve got the I AM A SHIRT shirts, which absolutely everyone liked, but only 2 people bought, and the CYBORG SANDWICH, which again, people liked, but not enough to give me money for . We’ll see how inter-folk like them.
Oh yeah, and so the Gallery (on the right, chump) is all updated with ‘the first six,’ both inside and outside pictures, as well as a few shots of the table at Horrorfind.
